The "new and improved" duty belt picture thread!
I was going through the old duty belt thread today and saw that most of the pics don't work anymore...I guess GT prunes attachments after awhile...so I decided to start a new one.
Here goes:
I am probably near the top of the "gear queer" list. I just bought a nylon belt and pouches and have the following configurations: (all are from left to right)
Sig P226 9mm:
- Uncle Mike's ultra nylon belt with velcro lining
- Keeper
- Uncle Mike's slim double mag case (for most double stack mags, toes face forward)
- Keeper
- Streamlight Strion in Uncle Mike's closed-top case
- Def-Tec MKIV OC in Uncle Mike's closed top case
- MTS2000 800MHz model 2 w/Motorola speaker mic and TCI earpiece in Porta-Clip
- Uncle Mike's key holder with flap
- ASP 26" baton in ASP sidebreak scabbard
- Keeper
- Sig P226 9mm in Safariland Raptor level 3
- Keeper
- Peerless hinged and chained cuffs in Uncle Mike's double cuff case
- Keeper
Kimber Custom TLE/RL II:
- Uncle Mike's ultra nylon belt with velcro lining
- Keeper
- Uncle Mike's quad mag case with four Wilson 47D mags
- Streamlight Strion in Uncle Mike's closed-top case
- Def-Tec MKIV OC in Uncle Mike's closed top case
- MTS2000 800MHz model 2 w/Motorola speaker mic and TCI earpiece in Porta-Clip
- Uncle Mike's key holder with flap
- ASP 26" baton in ASP sidebreak scabbard
- Keeper
- Kimber Custom TLE/RL II w/ Surefire X200 in Safariland 6280 with hood guard and SLS sentry.
- Keeper
- Peerless hinged and chained cuffs in Uncle Mike's double cuff case
- Keeper
Glock 22:
- Uncle Mike's ultra nylon belt with velcro lining
- Keeper
- Uncle Mike's slim double mag case (for most double stack mags, toes face forward)
- Keeper
- Streamlight Strion in Uncle Mike's closed-top case
- Def-Tec MKIV OC in Uncle Mike's closed top case
- MTS2000 800MHz model 2 w/Motorola speaker mic and TCI earpiece in Porta-Clip
- Uncle Mike's key holder with flap
- ASP 26" baton in ASP sidebreak scabbard
- Keeper
- Glock 22 w/Surefire X200 in Safariland 6280 with hood guard and SLS sentry.
- Keeper
- Peerless hinged and chained cuffs in Uncle Mike's double cuff case
- Keeper
And here is my "old standby" basketweave belt in the two configurations I currently have:
Kimber Custom TLE/RL II:
- Uncle Mike's ultra mirage basketweave belt w/velcro lining
- Keeper
- Safariland Glock 21 mag pouch w/4 wilson 47D mags (2 per side)
- Keeper (double)
- MTS2000 800MHz model 2 in Porta-Clip
- Def-Tec MKIV OC in Safariland case
- Safariland key holder with flap
- ASP 26" baton in ASP sidebreak scabbard
- Keeper
- Kimber Custom TLE/RL II w/Surefire X200 in Safariland 6280
- Keeper
- Peerless hinged and chained cuffs in Safariland double cuff case
- Keeper
Glock 22:
- Uncle Mike's ultra mirage basketweave belt w/velcro lining
- Keeper
- Safariland Glock 17/22 mag pouch
- Keeper (double)
- MTS2000 800MHz model 2 in Porta-Clip
- Def-Tec MKIV OC in Safariland case
- Safariland key holder with flap
- ASP 26" baton in ASP sidebreak scabbard
- Keeper
- Glock 22 in Safariland Raptor level 3
- Keeper
- Peerless hinged and chained cuffs in Safariland double cuff case
- Keeper
Alright guys...post 'em if you got 'em!
And I'd recommend opening a photobucket account instead of eating up GT's server space with attachments.

Looks like you gotta long way to go before you're a GQ. Still need a taser and cell phone holster as well.

We've got M26s that pretty much make wearing my gear impossible...it rides in the center console. I long for an X26, because I could make it work. I don't carry my cell phone on my belt because I don't want to damage it...it rides above the visor.
I should point out if it isn't obvious that I have one basic leather belt and one basic nylon belt and just switch holsters and mag pouches.
LET'S SEE SOME PICS, GUYS!

The extra cuff i hook up with a keeper or extra smaller cuffcase. The baton goes IN the pants in a special sleeve in the left leg.

As far as the OC is concerned, I never really like it either or have any use for it. Despite this I still do carry it but the Taser is my first option in most instances.
Recently I had to use my OC because I was trying to cover a back door which was surrounded by a large fence. I didn't have time to scale it as the perp was heading to the back door pretty much about the same time.
All I had was a crack though this wooden fence, couldn't use the Taser so I used my OC and sprayed through the crack in the fence and doused him in the face with pepper as he was exiting the back door.
He didn't make it but another 10 feet and went to his knees. He was yelling and screaming....."Ok, Ok I give up, god help me this ***** is killing me!!"
So, in that instance I am glad I had my OC or he would have had us on a foot chase or worse.

Did anybody see the article in the first issue of "American Cop" talking about excessive duty belt crap? They put a belt together with EVERYTHING on it...including a phone and blackberry and maybe some other stuff.
I saw it while I was in the academy, so I don't have a copy to scan.

Everything i have on my belt i use several times a week. I have it arranged so that it doesnīt bother me in the least.
Itīs like wearing a vest. Itīs heavy, cumbersome and warm. But you have it just for that one day in your life your life depends on it.

Being a small guy myself, I've got very limited room on my duty belt and it shows. Most of my coworkers often wonder why I've got two bags. Most of it simply has no room on my belt

Pardon my ignorance but do LEO have to buy all of their own gear?
Are you supplied with the minimum requirement and then if you want to upgrade than it is up to you?
DaBigBR's Kimber rig is just SWEET! That is very nice.

Some buy nothing.

Some buy all stuff.
Depends on the department.
