Double Tap:
3.5" barrel - 1415fps
4.5" barrel - 1525fps

Speer:
4.0" barrel - 1350fps

Both have the same Gold Dot Bullet

I just ordered some double tap, I got a box of the gold dot and a box of the FMJ to try it out. Should be here in a week, I also have speer gold dots and I just got a box of Federal 125 JHP. When I get the double tap I plan on doing a side by side test, I have access to a chronograph, and plan on hitting some phone books, water jugs, ply wood and anything else we can think of. I have not seen any yet but does Remington, Winchester, PMC or anyone else make 125's ( or anything else for that matter) for the 357 sig which is readily available? The more I have the more I shall test to see which performs "best". Yes a highly subjective term, I should say which one I am personally happiest and most confident with. Oh I will be shooting them out of a G33, I just ordered a 40 conversion barrel for it but I don't know how much use I will be getting out of it, probably just go shoot some and say, see how much "better" it is in 357 !! Or if I am feeling cheap and want to pick up some cheap ammo.
What are all your thoughts....

Assuming you mean FMJ also...

Winchester makes 357Sig in the white box, Remington makes it in the UMC yellow box, and PMC has some as well (and I believe all three make JHPs as well).

Gold Dot

I've been using the Speer Gold Dots & Ranger SXT's for CCW rounds, but the DT looks interesting. Does anyone have the address to thier Website? Thank you, in advance. Have fun & stay safe! ;f ;f

Went out today, indoor range shot holes in paper only.
Put about 1/2 box of Federal 125 grain thru the G33, shot real nice.
Put about 1/2 box of double tap 125 FMJ thru it, much more kick, can't wait to chrono it, shot real nice, very hot load !!!
Swapped out to the 40 barrel, put 50 blazer FMJ's thru it I think 155 grain. This was the first time I used the 40 barrel, and only the third time I took the gun out. Shooting the 40 at first felt like a bb gun, I was just comming off the double tap 357 remember.
Anyhow after that I swapped barrels back and put some double tap 357 gold dots thru it. Hello !!!!
After all that I picked up my 9 and shot some white box 115, now that was like, oh man is this even going off. I can't wait to chrono this 357 stuff and shoot up some things ( like phone boooks, cans of water etc. ) to compare the different loads. So far I love this thing !!

Simply no comparison. I shot 2 boxes of Double Tap in my Sig 229, my 239 and my G32...it fed without a hitch and the accuracy and velocity are impressive. It felt like I had a real .357 S&W Magnum in my hands! When the weather gets nice I'll run some over my chrony...but for the time being all I can say this stuff is hot. Not dangerously so...but its potent stuff. If you have the jack and can afford to feed your guns a steady diet of DT, I recommend going to a heavier recoil spring. Speer GD loads pale in comparison!
McNett will be getting my order for 500 rounds at the end of the month!
