Oh....loads.

Booger hook
Bang switch

....and most of all....those who puff out their chest when discussing terminology about accidental/negligent/unintentional discharges. I'm sure the YouTube star said the same crap right before he put one in his leg and called his mom.

Those two things drive me the most insane.
"Keep your booger hook off the bang switch!"

Do people really enjoy being talked to like that? A lot of new shooters, many young, female, many from urban centers, aren't exactly going to be fond of some fat dude clad in camo barking at them with such poetic language.

With "new modern ammo" my gun is as good as any other? Really your favorite caliber is the only one that Speer or Federal make ..new modern ammo..for? I don't think so, modern ammo benefits all calibers it does not give your favorite caliber anything special that others don't get!

1 thing puts a knot in my knickers.

People who are adamant to the point of being insulting that if you didn't handle a situation the way they insist is the only correct one you are terribly wrong.

To them I point out, there are often more than one correct answer to a given question. Suggestions and constructive criticism accomplish more than outright insults. Or not, if you must.

To the novice shooter, this means keep your nostrils away from blasting caps. I learned that in grade school.

That's a good lesson. Where I used to be a police officer, there was a kid who was, literally, missing his whole nose because he got it too close to blasting caps...as well as both arms. I think he also had some dynamite boosters with the blasting caps.

(in KY blasting caps used to be easier for kids to get than firecrackers)

You have to know your audience... it is effective when teaching 11 yr old boys at Scout camp. Gets a laugh during the safety lessons and lets you know the boys are still paying attention.

There should be a GT rule against that phrase.

To each their own. Just frosts my cookie. The whole point of each is to be individual. Their is a plural possessive.

It also irks me when people make posts that are totally unrelated to the thread topic.
