Wilson ULC is kitted!

Got the news that my ULC has been kitted and should be delivered in 10-12 weeks! I ordered it this summer either in late July or early August! That's what I'm talkin' about.

Dang, that's great Glock. But you know what that means...better get the check book ready!

I'm almost sure that you ordered that one after I placed an order which has to make it August. Do you have any ideas regarding the frame and kit time? Any word on the others? Is the other one steel?

....and what happened with the Legacy? I keep meaning to ask you but keep forgetting.

I asked him the same thing a couple days ago because I was interested in what happened with that magwell. He said its at the ffl, but he hasn't been back in state.

I'm also looking forward to hearing about the Legacy.

I ordered just like I wanted it, so it'll be good to go right out of the box. As for the Legacy, it's sitting at my FFL, along side my '72 BHP. I won't be able to get my hands on them until I get back home. The FFL said the Legacy was an awesome looking gun. I told him to try the slide out and he said it felt like it was on greased ball bearings, yet tight, which was the same description I had of my other one. Can't wait to shoot them both.

Thanks guys and gal. It's not "plain jane", as the ULC already comes pretty decked out as is. All I changed/added was a naked slide with Wilson logo on both sides of the slide behind the RCS, black u-notch rear with front tritium sight, fluted barel and barrel hood and short black solid trigger. They come pretty loaded as is other than that.

Aluminum frame, so hardchrome can be done, but it's alot more hassle and expense. Plus, it'll match it's little ,the ULCc, to a tee, minus the bull barrel.

Was adding the logo on BOTH sides 'artwork' for another $100?

Good thing you have that pretty new truck. You're going to need it to haul
all of your new gats home from your FFL. Congrats Joe! Looking forward to
seeing pics with the naked slide.

I don't understand paying for the "naked slide" then getting the WC logo on each side behind the serrations. Your pistol......but I would have ordered and ENTIRELY naked slide

I ordered my ULCc done the same way, so I wanted them to match. And the logo is small and doesn't look too bad behind the RCS to me. Plus, I tend to like the Wilson logo grip medallions and leave them on all my Wilsons. If they were completely naked, someone might think I had a bunch of Guncrafter No Names.

I don't understand someone who buys a 1911 because it's pretty and then turns around a year later and sells it only having put 300 rounds through it.

Well, that's not really a fair statement. Some people like to see how a gun is, try it out, don't fall in love with it and sell it to help fund their next purchase. Actually not an unwise thing to do. Some people are "flippers" and some are "hoarders/keepers". Unfortunately, for my bank account, I fall into the latter category. There are several guns that I think about selling, but then knowing my "want/need" type of personality, I end up keeping them, as some of the guns I've sold, I either bought back or bought another just like it. Now THAT's stupid. Or, even dumber, I've taken guns I wanted to sell and ended up putting even more money into them to customize them, so they were "worth keeping". I actually wish I could buy, evaluate and then sell at what I paid, or very little less or, actually turn a profit, with quite a few guns that I own. Counted up today and I currently own 38 1911's. And my stupid ass started thinking about trying to come up with a list of 7 more to add, so I could have 45 1911's. Now THAT, is something to not understand!

It's a very fair statement Joe but it certainly wasn't aimed at you, or anyone else in this thread. I just get very tired of the Errornet experts that try to tell others how great their choice was and then you see their pistol in the classifieds a year later with 300 rounds through it.

Great reputations aren't built on pretty pictures and pistols that only have 700 rounds shot through them.

So should they not buy a pistol they want because they aren't going to put 50k rounds down range?

The slide rollmarks are pretty big. The logo behind the RCS looks clean IMO.
I'm paying an extra $100 to get CQBE in small pretty script on the dust cover. The left side of mine is naked. The interesting part is that if the script said "Wilson Combat" there isn't an up charge.
It's worth it to me to keep the gun 'clean' looking.

But I like g-strings. Especially on round butts.
