Just curious, but what is the reasoning behind carrying all this? Is it carried at all times or just range trips?

This is one, in the Toyota pickup.
The Okie Corral

This AK..........
The Okie Corral
.......is in the back of this Ford. With a Ruger 357 next to the driver.
The Okie Corral

This Kel Tec is in the back of the Chevy, with a G19 in the driver's door.
The Okie Corral

I learned a long time ago, a gun that is home in the safe when you need it, is totally useless.

I use one of these as my "truck gun" too. Surprisingly handy little rifles and affordable too (as compared to an AR).

PS. Did you know you can fit a standard GI 30 round mag where the two stock plastic mags are? It slides in horizontal and snaps in place.

That looks like a really smart way to get a service pistol screwed into your ear at every traffic stop...

Actually it would be impossible to see from outside the vehicle unless you open the door. I would imagine the poster informs law enforcement of its presence before opening the door so there is no nasty surprise. That and he lives in Texas so it's probably assumed every truck has at least one gun in it....

In Texas the long gun can be in plain sight, but not the handgun (whether CHL holder or not).

All the stickers on the back window are a really bad idea. Aside from advertising things to steal either in the car or at home, some jurisdictions in the state have been known to devote extra attention to high profile vehicles.

Really?? How's the officer going to see that unless the door's open. I've been driving for 40 years and have been stopped about 5 times. Never been asked to get out of the car or truck. You must have a lot more experience with traffic stops. However, I cannot and do not carry a loaded gun in my truck.
Have a good day. Mike

Maybe where you are from. M2 is from Texas I believe and out here in Arizona, stuff like that is so common as to be almost boring.

Dude, zombies and commies = serious business.

I'm getting a .50 bmg mounted onto my vette for the weekends. It's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.

A couple spare mags for your carry gun and a first aid kit in your glovebox is prepping as far as cars go. I don't have as much stuff in the trunk of my patrol vehicle as you have, and I might actually need some of the stuff I have one day.

What you've got in your trunk is flat out excessive and unnecessary, even by GT standards and that **** is OUT THERE.

I think the most important this is not to hang around and discuss the situation with co-worker while they try and figure out what to do.

As SOON as you are sure that a major SHTF situation has occurred, head home. That should give you a 1-2 jump on most people. You average Joe will hang around work. discussing the situation with everyone else, wondering when the lights are coming back on, and such.

Beat them to the street. If you get a jump on them, then it is less likely that you will need your firearm to get home. Even if you're walking, by time everyone else realizes how serious the problem is, you can be half way home.

My walk home unfortunately takes me right through the ghetto very dark part of town, think My walk would be at night as I work closing at the c-store so it would be a night walk.
People have asked why take body armor to the range, well I train that way so I am proficient should I ever have to use everything.
I work alone so nobody to hang with I'm on my own...
