If it had been a pit bull, then the mountain lion would have been eaten. And the rest of that gated community. Heh heh.

Wildlife officials advise against people from running away from a lion if they encounter one in the wild. Instead, they encourage people to back away slowly and to make themselves appear as big as possible.
Also, tapping two sticks together is a good way to ward off mountain lions...

As is firing a double-barrelled shot gun in the air to scare it off - ask Your Mr Biden.

I don't think dachshund's are stick knockers.

I may very well be the last person at a party to get a dirty joke but "Cougar eats a wiener" is too much, even for me.

I fail to see the humor in someone losing a pet.

That's sad, but probably correctable. Perhaps if you read GnG for a while you may develop a sense of humor and be able to appreciate the irony of the situation.

Yep.
And additionally... with all the negative stuff floating around with the AWB pending, current administration, etc... sometimes we just need a laugh.
Sad about the pup, but things happen. He's in doggy heaven.. cats probably in hell.

Not that the mountain lion did anything wrong... cats are just evil/plotting to kill me.

I fail to see any controversy in the loss. Sad the Mt Lion was put down though.

Would you be able to wrap your "brain" around the situation had the next victim of the lion been a child? This is why the mountain lion needed to be removed, jeez.
