Love the first, but, no. 4 struck a chord with me. My son's favorite movie is no. 3.

The first one is usually the best.

OK, so II had a premise flaw, but I still like the way McClain's wife zaps the stupid reporter with the stun gun and later the old lady won't help him up and calls him an A-hole

Best part of any of the Die Hards to me

I have 'em all on Blu Ray and watched them all recently. The first one is by far the best. The second and third are okay and the fourth is pretty decent.

Hans Gruber for the win. Alan Rickman makes that movie. The crazy long haired dude with the Aug is pretty cool too.

First one. Akan Rickman is my favorite bad guy. Second one just annoyed the crud out of me, because I live in the DC area, and the whole time I kept thinking, why don't they just freaking land at Andrews?!

Yeah, that one bugs me too. The more you know about aviation the more disbelief you must suspend in that movie.

I still kinda liked it though.

1, 4, 3, 2 in order of liking them.

Yup -- and having an abandoned airport in Colorado double for Dulles Airport (and not looking even REMOTELY like that airport) sure didn't help matters. Dulles today, with the expanded terminals, actually has come "closer" to the look.

Oh -- and the crowning touch was having Bruce Willis pass by a pay-phone that had "Pacific Bell" emblazoned on the side.

Part of it was filmed at the Alpena Airport in Northern Michigan. It was due to the runway being long enough and having snow. IIRC it's the only city thanked in the credits.

Yeah, them too!

it has been so long since I've seen it, I couldn't recall if there was a threat of takeover at the other regular airports, so I grabbed at Andrews. But yeah, it required way too much suspension of disbelief!

We'll be on a beach, earning 20%

Every time Snape walked onto screen that's what I thought about him saying.
