Leatherman
Thought some may be interested to know- Contrary to the popular belief that they only replace older model pocket tools, Leatherman repaired my 1994 PST 2. I included a letter asking them to repair or return it.

That is excellent customer service. Right now I have a Leatherman Wave from 2010. Very nice multi tool.

That is good. For some unknown reason I have shifted to gerbers. But I will look at leatherman again.

I have a Skeletool CX with a busted jaw in a drawer in my kitchen, sitting on the paperwork for the warranty. Been there probably 2 years, haven't sent it in yet. Don't know why either, I liked it better than the SOG I've been carrying since them. Maybe I should send it in.

milje- I saw one of those Skeletools when I went in to ask about repair on my PST 2. Nice. Send it in and ask for warranty, or the model you like better... who knows?

I had my first leatherman replaced free by factory. Woman CS on the phone thought I sounded upset. I was expecting a problem with Warranty, but had none. I apologized for being aggressive and thanked her for the new replacement. No problems.

I have a Leatherman Supertool 200. I used to have a Gerber, but I honestly feel like Leatherman makes a better quality tool, although his politics suck dirt

I don't know how I have missed this in the past, thanks for mentioning it. I just did a little googlefu, it isn't pretty.

I had a Wave replaced years ago...after busting the tip off of the knife I then melted the phillips head screw driver... and took a couple of volts to my hand I should say...while fooling around with an AC unit that wasnt grounded and was smelling like it was on fire.....Next time I will kill the breaker first...

I like the original Leatherman tool and supertool, not so much the Leatherman politics. Has he gotten off the anti-gun donors list yet?
