I've got a G36 and have seen on YouTube the process of undercutting the trigger guard to help with grip and lower the bore axis seems like a good idea to me - soliciting some feedback before I go ahead appreciate your input

Under cutting the trigger guard does not "lower the bore axis".It simply makes a little more room for your middle finger on the grip.

Lowers the value of the gun.
You can't use it in IDPA.

Sub-compacts give me Glock knuckle without it, the larger frames don't bother me or need it. I don't believe it really helps me hold the pistol higher, it just makes my middle finger happy.
