I also had no need for NV, so I went with the 512. As far as the submersion, if I'm 10 feet under water and still holding onto my rifle, something has gone terribly awry and I don't think an extra 23 feet is going to matter to me. YMMV

08 was a fudged up year. That was the year that the traders manipulated the Crude prices and drove oil to almost $150/bbl. Then in June or July, it all collapsed and gas dropped by half. (Although it should have dropped more.)
$3.86/gal at $150/bbl then.
$3.86/gal at $92 today.
Anyone see a problem????
