Is this a hard one, or have these car quizzes just run their course?

Hard one. Yesterday I looked around for about 15 minutes and couldn't find anything. Then again, I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to old cars.

You have probably ridden in one of those, haven't you Bill?

Looks similar to a Studebaker... but I don't know if they made trucks. So I will submit Studebaker and probably be wrong.

Okay, I usually give it up on about ten if no one is even close. It's a 1955 Powell Sportwagon. A couple of brothers went into the truck and wagon business after Korea, to fill a gap in the utility vehicle market. They used a 1941 Plymouth frame and engine, re-conditioned them, and manufactured a simple body to go on them. They built over eight hundred vehicles before they stopped production due to lack of raw materials. They had orders for hundreds of trucks when they quit.

Rumor has it that International looked at it real hard before they did their Travelall.

I used to own one of those, RedTop. I hadn't had it very long
before someone wanted it more than me. I had the pick-up.

No relation. They built cathedral radios during the twenties, and went into the scooter business up through the war and Korea, I think their names were Hayward and Channing Powell. The appeal of their radios were that they were smaller, table top radios. Cheaper scooters, like the Vespa, gave them trouble.
