Packable rain jacket

Hello, I'm looking for a good rain jacket to keep in my 3 day sized bag, I'm looking at 5.11 TacDry Rainshell and the Woolrich Dew Point, does anyone recommend a good jacket to keep in their pack? I'm more concerned about size than weight, thanks

I have a LL Bean Casco Bay windbreaker in my bag. It packs down small and light and the black is pretty stealthy looking. It is pretty waterproof, although I would want something a bit more in a monsoon. However it's perfect for my "bag". It's inexpensive, light and small and not being my primary rain jacket I can toss it in my bag and forget about it until it's really needed. Again if I were heading into a monsoon I would dress for it as I surely would have plenty of notice for a weather event like that. lol. For something to use in a emergency situation it excels!

You may want to look at Frogg Toggs.
I use them on the motorcycle and they are pretty durable

Since you really don't know if it will be raining, sleeting or snowing or just very cold when you need your 3 day bag, I am going to suggest something a little different that I have kept in my vehicle for a while and pulled out on occation.

I don't see exactly what I have at Cabelas, but they do have a Cabelas Gore-tex Exv Parka and they you buy the liner seperatly.

It doesn't pack small, but it really does the trick.

If you are just looking for something that packs small and keeps you mostly dry, I would suggest a garbage bag and a boonie hat. The arms will get wet, but your core will be dry.
