Sights on compensated guns
Does anyone with night sights run into the problem of their front sight getting dimmed/dirty?
What is the best way to clean it? Say for instance a Ameriglo Pro Glo front.

I always used a Q-tip and CLP on my Meps and Trijicons. Or my shirt tail and spit, in a pinch. It's usually only a problem in longer shooting strings, like an hour of range blasting, or multi-stage competitions. Extrapolating from range use, it should not a problem for short-duration events like self-defense (educated guess, here; no direct experience, thankfully).

Sorry for not defining that in my original post.
Glock19Cowner already described the basic product, above. It works well as an all-purpose cleaner and lubricant, and a short-term preservative, but for long-term use, I usually use other stuff. The CLP brand I use (probably the most widely distributed brand) is Break Free CLP. I have bottles of the Break Free brand, along with a few bottles with a Safariland logo, and I think other companies may have sub-branded and sold it, too.

CLP stands for Cleaner, Lubricant, Protectant. Same stuff we use in the Army it works pretty good cleans everything.

Wallyworld stocks CLP along with other gun cleaning supplies.
