Will a holster for 19 (Gen 4) also fit a 26 (Gen 4)?
I'm new to Glocks and just purchased a 26 Gen 4 and am strongly considering getting a 19 Gen 4 in the near future. I've noticed that a lot of holsters seem to be able to fit both guns, even though the slide/barrel and grip length for the 19 is longer than the 26. Are the 19 and 26 identical in other significant dimensions?
I'm wondering if one of the more expensive/custom holsters designed for the 19 would also hold the 26 securely. I've been very happy with my Milt Sparks VM2 for my Sig P229 SAS Gen 2, and would consider getting a VM2 sized for the 19 if it could fit both.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

My VMII is Made for a fullsize 1911, it carries a Commander size quite well.
My CompTac M-Tac is made for my G-17, it caries my G-26, and my wifes G-19 equaly well.
But the CompTac is leather Kydex, the VMII is all leather, so if you carried your 26 for a lot without carrying your 19, the 19 may no longer fit as well as it should, do to the holster taking the shape (or boning) to the shorter shape of the 26.

My blackhawk holster will hold my G17, G19 and G26 all in the same holster. Other then the barrel length which will vary on covering the end of the barrel, all else is the same.

i mostly just buy holsters for the 27, and as long as its open on the muzzle end, it will fit all of my glocks...the vmII for the 23/19/32 will also work for the 26/27/33....however, the vmII made for the 26/27/33 wont work for the larger pistols as its muzzle end is closed...

I have three VMIIs G19, Commander and Government Model 1911s. It is by far the best IWB holster I've ever worn. While waiting for my Commander holster I carried my commander in the Government Model holster for a few months. The holster did not change much if any. Can't beat MS quality and durability.

Yes a 26 will fit in a 19 holster, but if you use the 26 in a leather holster alot that is made for 19 you could end up running it due to the shorter barrel length and collapsing the end and then the 19 wont fit properly or not at all,if you want that you need a kydex holster of some sort like the crossbreed.

Most, if not all will, at the worst you'll have a bit more material on the end. I use a G17 Galco Miami Classic to CCW my M26. It's the best that this particular holster has ever worked with nothing poking out the front or rear of the horizontal carry position.
