Thanks guys. The stock grips on the ATI look a lot better then those plain grips that RIA uses but nothing beats a pair of Double Diamond grips. I think they're about the best looking grip you can get for a 1911a1. I have seen some VZ grips that were a very close second though but when you compare $20 to $65 I think the DD's win out.

Looks great. Grips on 1911's are like tires and wheels on a car or truck. Makes all the difference in the world.

That's a very good way to put it. The Center Line rims on my V8, S-10 really make it look good, wouldn't be the same with stock rims.

The CDNN Herrett Stock grips are the deals of the century. I got them on my Beretta 92FS and the Colt Gold Cup Stainless.

Grips do make a difference. I like the VZ grips I put on my parkerized but something about wooden grips that give them that classy look, especially on a stainless.

LOL, actually, if you consider that I sold the 3, 8rnd SS Colt mags that I got with the gun for $50 bucks then yep, I've got $420 into it with the grips. Good call. Of course the dang thing shoots like a million bucks to go figure. LOL

Yep,........even a cheap 1911 can be a shooter!
I had a $189 Norinco that ran like a Singer sewing machine!

Can't remember what I paid for my Norinco, think it was around $250 at the time(early '90's) and yep, it ran great. Excellent quality gun, not just for the money but for any amount of money.
I think a big part of why a lot of the Foreign guns are so much cheaper in price is because labor costs aren't as much.

A lot of the Phillipines guns yes. Cheap labor & low quality materials.

Finally took pics with the new grips on. Not wood or double diamonds though, so
