You have to remember though, an aftermarket barrel in the G35 isn't going to have polygonal rifling.
And that polygonal rifling in Glock stock barrels create a tighter gas seal, and give slightly better velocity per inch than traditional rifling.
I'd be willing to bet money that the velocity wouldn't be significantly different between a G31's 4.49" barrel and an aftermarket 5.32" barrel in the G35.
