Glock Blue Label's and Texas LEOs
seems as if the paying for and passing of an official glock class on fixes, service, and repairs warrants a graduate the opportunity to reduced prices on the purchase of a new glock. supposedly, any dealer with an LE program (selling to agencies and/or officers) will honor the certificate and make a sale.
(PS: i am intentionally being obtuse here to avoid needless comments.)
these days, at least for me, the bottom line is price, which most of us understand today better than in the past. after the class, i hope to take advantage of a reduced price on the purchase of a new M-22 and accessories. Frankly, i would/could go for the right Used M-22 IF 'used' qualifies...
the gssf site has links to local dealers and local dealers with 'le programs'.
in the second biggest state in the usa, the number of dealers with le programs is = six (6) !??!
the number of local dealers statewide is quite a few.
so, my question is this.
since price is an issue for me, will you recommend a dealer in TX that would provide the most generous price on a leo M/G-22 ??
thank you
houston armorer to be.

GT Distributors
$398.20 for 9/40/357 without night sights
$464.20 for 10/45 without night sights
$480.70 for G34 or G35 without night sights
Pretty standard pricing, you'll be hard pressed to beat it.

From what I have seen in some areas there is an abundance of used Glock 22s, some of which I am guessing are police trade ins. I would guess that, depending on the area, with some shopping around one ought to be able to find a used G22 for less than $400 http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/SearchResults.aspx
While used does not seem to qualify for the blue label price, in my limited little world, used Glock 22s seem to be the only Glock lately that can be had for less than the $398 price of a new one.

GLock LE prices are fixed by Glock. For 398.20 you get a NIB pistol with 3 mags, NO ONE can beat that package.
Poster #2 is spot on.

Are you a LEO, or did you take the armorer's course through GSSF? That 22 might be $425 instead of $398.

You think what is the old pricing?
The prices that I posted were direct from GT's website and confirmed by other Glock LE dealers online.

Yes they do, but they're Gen2 models. They do have Gen3 models starting at $319 though.

We have a local dealer for cops only that will sell police package Glocks w/o night sights for $380 on the "Glock Days" they hold in May. Cops will come from 60 plus miles around on those couple of days.
They will charge $50-100 for night sights that they add right there. The price depends on how much you buy from them in terms of holsters, spare mags, flashlights, etc.
Our of our guys said once, "I have $500 cash and I want this Glock, night sights, and a Serpa holster. Yes or no?"
He walked out with it all except he had to settle for a Fobus.

Just Glocks in Copperas Cove TX can work some good deals. From time to time they have some slightly used trade ins. Military and LEO's get discounts.

OOps ! Glock Blue Label's and Texas LEOs
my apologies,
seems as though i may have had the purchase process all wrong...
per Glock Customer Service in Smyrna today (11.17.2011):
An armorer may purchase two weapons/year from Glock.
Glock requires:
a) an IOP form (?) and Armorer's Certification from the armorer's class
b) a copy of FFL from the local receiving dealer - who will also do the background check required
c) Funds are paid to Glock ($398) for a new M-22 with (3) magazines, gun box, etal;
d) which Glock will send to the FFL for disbursement to the Glock armorer class 'graduate'.
d) the Process will take 10-12 weeks !
ouch.
