Don't want to burst your bubble, but we found Hot Springs to be a craphole. Went into a local grocery store on a Sunday afternoon, and they had an armed guard (off-duty deputy). He looked like part of his job was eating all the food that was past the sell-by date. Sloppy uniform, worn-out leather, generally not a shining example.

Then we went into town. Parked in one of the city lots across the street from the hot springs. I got out of the car and stepped on a used syringe.

The place might've been something in the 1940s (my wife's parents honeymooned there right after WWII) but it's a run-down dump now.
