Of course that's because, I signed up in 2010 and lived it out. The being grandfathered into the unlimited data is a nice perk. However, I am stuck with buying my own phone if I want to keep it.
And you would pay the same price as people getting subsidized phone had they not changed their plans. That's not really the same thing that t-mobile is doing.
I stayed with the unlimited plan because it's cheaper for me by about $23 a month, not necessarily because it's unlimited.
