recycling. as in using old butter tubs and such as tupperware instead of buying the actual overpriced crap. leftovers don't care what they're stored in, and if you're feeding guests leftovers then you shouldn't care if they aren't impressed by the containers.
shopping cheap. buy store brand instead of name brand.
if you have to fix something fix it correctly the first time, don't half ass it with bailing wire, bubble gum, and duck tape.
if you're a smoker start rolling your own. spend the 70$ on a good rolling machine at first and 2$ for a box of 100 tubes, and 30$ for a 1 pound bag of tobacco. a 1 pound bag will usually roll 2 -3.5 cartons depending on what size tubes you prefer.
