Did he turn down the offer in a disrespectful way? In case you forget, one of those dudes has a MOH on his neck/chest. The
only thing he is required to do now in life is to die peacefully, unfettered and unmolested by ceremony, politics /etc.

He did not lose anything. If none of those folks Obama invited had shown up, or called in sick at the very last minute, it would have been a major embarrassment for Obama.
