I like sardines in mustard sauce or louisianna hot sauce. Even better are the fish steaks in louisianna hot sauce.
ETA: The wife prefers I eat the sardines when shes not home, she can't stand the smell of them.
My Dad loved that stuff, spread it on Ritz crackers. It looked and tasted like shortening mixed with catfood to me.
Unfortunatly he dined on it just before embarking on a family ocean fishing excursion.
I distinctly remember the look on his face after he hurled his snack overboard and I turned to my brother and exclaimed, "Alright! Dads chumming the water. We'll catch lots of fish now!"
