I think most won't like it, but if they're gun is not getting taken away and they would no longer be able to provide for their family... i think most will at least go through the motions, even if they don't like it.
How many do you think would make a big stand and lose their job?
How many of us would quit our jobs right now and come to the aid of someone else who's rights are being violated?
It's not like the movies. The cop doesn't make a big stand, quit his job, stand for principle then the music plays and the credits roll... the cop will wake up the next day, jobless, hoping he finds a way to make his house payment and keep the lights on. i don't know how many will make that sacrifice...
I think you are making broad sweeping brush stroke opinions on how we may or may not react. If you read or listen to the media cops are already making stands in positions as high as the Sheriff of large countys. NO not all will and I can't speak for all of them and for sure don't know all of them but hey I would like to hope.
I am telling you that even if there is a % of cops which there WILL BE that refuse to break the law you are still gaining for the fight to keep our 2nd the way it is supposed to be.

I take it you don't know a lot of cops.
I don't know a lot of cops from NY you are correct, actually none currently employed. But believe or not I have a life outside of GT and might be a member/moderator of some of the largest police discussion forums available and might talking to thousands of cops not just from the US but the world daily.
Also believe it or not NY is not the deciding factor in the US on how LE behave and or interact with the population.
