I'm sorry for your loss (moving to CT).
Hey we DO need more conservative folks up here.
Just make sure if you have an AR or equivalent they are compliant (no flash hider, bayonet lug, etc).
I will say the range I go to has a lot of members so it's not like CT is totally liberal. If around the central/northern central of CT shoot me a PM if interested in checking out the range I belong to.
