Anything mechanical can fail at any time. That is a disappointing article, but other manufacturers have had similar snafus. My pf-9 works great. It ejects the brass strong which I hope is a sign it's not thinking about jamming. That being said, i don't wear it out at the range, but I'll trust it 'till it proves me wrong.
