Had my Benelli SBE II down in Arkansas this weekend in a muddy duck blind for 3 days. fired close to 100 shells in really nasty muddy conditions without a hitch. I own 4 Benelli Shotguns and they are uber-reliable. You won't be disappointed in your M1. I owned a black M1 field model about a dozen years ago and used it until the barrel was almost shiney bright on the outside. It was a bird murdering machine.
