The attached light issues on Glocks seem to center around .40 models and nt so much with other calibers. Seems a bit perplexing, but I can be easily perplexed. That said one of the obvious advantages to a light that is not attached to the gun is the ability to shine the light at something without having to point the gun at it.
The couple of times I have spoke with the nice folks at Wolff they have been great.
