Ace Hardware sells 3M brand anti-skid, non-skid, skateboard tape. (whatever you want to call it) It comes in different widths starting at 1" wide. Ace sells it by the foot. Home Depot and Lowe's sell rolls of the stuff which is way more than you'd need in one lifetime.
