Agreed, this is the typical self-delusions that is hallmark of the right. They create straw men then self-righteously knock them down; then proclaim themselves victorious. It is the traveling mistrial show; smoke and mirrors, intended to entertain the ignorant rabble then claim as their base.
This is why these kinds of distractions are created; to keep the ignorant rabble ignorant. It seems to be working perfectly.
