I know that an LCP (or something similar) is better than nothing, but I just don't have much interest in buying a gun that I don't enjoy shooting.

Have you tried a GOOD gun belt and holster? It gets pretty hot here in Atlanta and I have no problem concealing a Glock with shorts and a T-shirt
