I've tried frog Lube, CLP, Slip 2000 and Super Lube Synthetic Grease, Tretra Gun etc.

In the end I just use Mobile 1. Its designed to provide lubrication in high temp applications with tight tolerance metal parts and help clean carbon deposits. Darn...why didn't I start with that... Works fine. $8 a quart.

The only grease I use on an AR is the Lubriplate lithium grease I use on the barrel nut when I'm building a gun or changing a barrel.

Put that in your pipe and smoke it.
