Pistol caliber carbines
Mas, I always stop by this forum to check your posts. Thanks for doing so.
Lately I have been thinking of getting a pistol caliber carbine, probably a 9mm. Maybe a Kal-tec Sub 2000 or a AR. It would be used mostly for target practice with perhaps some shoot and move drills.
My question: Is say a 9mm carbine recommended for home defense? I can see me shooting more accurately with a carbine than a pistol in a high stress situation. On the other hand I have read where 9mm will actually penetrate deeper than a .223. That seems counter intuitive to me. And firing out of a longer barrel would seem to increase velocity.
Any thoughts would be most appreciated.
