I only load in the midrange velocities for 10mm, no nuclear stuff here, so I'm just using the stock recoil spring assembly.

I agree with this suggestion. I have a G21 conversion; the only time it's ever malfunctioned was using the factory spring and 135gr JHP Underwood ammo. I think it was just too hot for the factory spring. Popped in a 20lb spring and it's never had a malfunction; ejection pattern is better as well.
