We rotate out our duty guns at about 10% per year. Most senior guys get the new guns, least senior get the worst. We had Smiths from 1987 to 2000 or so. Then Berettas were bought while the Smiths were echanged. Then in 2003 or so Glocks were bought. It took us until 2010 or so until we went all Glock. The longer we wait to sell off guns the less they are worth when sold. That is why we shoot to replace them after 10 years, often it is a few years after that.
I wonder if your assessment of "The Wizard of Oz" would sound something like "A teenaged orphan runs away with three psychotic AD/HD patients and a little dog. She kills the first two women she meets." --Sinecure 07/03/2006
