Departments usually get pretty favorable trade-in deals. My current agency swapped even (or so I'm told) from gen 3 G22s to RTF 2 G22s.

This I took advantage of and bought the 4506.
Hopefully in a year ir two I can buy my current duty sidearm. Then when I retire a few years after that, I can keep the new one.
