Wow! I'm drooling over this one. A 48 Panhead. The first year of the panheads. I rode a 60 Panhead for about 20 years. Sweetest sound in the world is a panhead cranking after you been kicking it for an hour in the hot sun. If you are still on this site, tell us more about it. I can see it still has the mechanical rear brake and no front brake. Is it a 61 or 74 cubic inch? Does it still have the old 3 brush 6 volt generator?
