I own a LCR .38 and it's a very satisfactory revolver. The action is smooth. +P rounds fired in this gun generate big muzzle flash and a very loud report, due to the short barrel. The +P is also quite tiring (not painful) to fire. Standard .38 special is much easier to manage in this lightweight revolver. The LCR a very good substitute for the S&W J-frames, in my view, and maybe a bit better.
