[quote=SFCGrazier;14505322]Since I just got amazing feedback from you guys, I thought I might ask some questions that I have been wondering about for a long time. So what is the best ammo for my Glock 23 .40 S&W? I kinda already have a certain set of ammo, but i would like to hear what you guys use. Hey I also saw that some of you guys went to my website. Thank you very much.

Home Defense? I am currently using Remington 180 gr. JHP (L40SW2B) purchased in the 100 rd. value pack. It is what I could find locally and I will use it until I can find something better. Hopefully I will be able to find some 155-165 gr. Winchester Ranger T or Federal HST.

Range time? I have been using Federal Champion 180 gr. FMJFN. POI is POA at 15 yds. I have also used Magtech 165 gr. FMJ and Winchester White Box 165 gr. FMJ. With these loads, POI is about 1 inch above POA at 15 yds. Estimate of POI is based on group center and not individual isolated shots fired. All shooting is done from a two-handed standing position.

Accuracy? Firing 10 round groups: Federal 180 gr. FMJ & Winchester 165 gr. FMJ = +/- 2.5 inches at 15 yds. I fired no 10 round groups using the Magtech 165 gr. FMJ. Firing 15 rd. groups: Federal 180 gr. FMJ = +/- 4.0 inches. Magtech and Winchester 165 gr. FMJ = 3.0 inches. Composite 25 rd. groups run 4 inches with both the 180 gr. FMJ and the 165 gr. FMJ ammo. I note fewer fliers (operator error) with the 165 gr. FMJ ammo. I also find the 165 gr. loads to be more pleasant to fire in an extended range session. HTH. Sincerely. Brucev.
