The "new and improved" duty belt picture thread!
I was going through the old duty belt thread today and saw that most of the pics don't work anymore...I guess GT prunes attachments after awhile...so I decided to start a new one.
Here goes: I am probably near the top of the "gear queer" list. I just bought a nylon belt and pouches and have the following configurations: (all are from left to right) Sig P226 9mm: http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l9...nylon-p226.jpg
Kimber Custom TLE/RL II: http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l9...kimberx200.jpg
Glock 22: http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l9...on-g22x200.jpg
And here is my "old standby" basketweave belt in the two configurations I currently have: Kimber Custom TLE/RL II: http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l9...kimberx200.jpg
Glock 22: http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l9...eather-g22.jpg
Alright guys...post 'em if you got 'em! And I'd recommend opening a photobucket account instead of eating up GT's server space with attachments. |

NICE!!!!! |
Looks like you gotta long way to go before you're a GQ. Still need a taser and cell phone holster as well.
|
That's ALOT of nice lookin' gear!

I should point out if it isn't obvious that I have one basic leather belt and one basic nylon belt and just switch holsters and mag pouches. LET'S SEE SOME PICS, GUYS! |

Okay.........
The extra cuff i hook up with a keeper or extra smaller cuffcase. The baton goes IN the pants in a special sleeve in the left leg. |
GEEZ, just looking over those belts makes my old back scream, glad I retired, always said we had to much junk on the belt.
|
Nah, nowadays we work out and donīt eat donuts the whole time.:rollsmiley:
|
I guess i'm the GQ with the cell phone holder
Actually everything pictured was issued to me with the exception of the flashlight pouch and G22. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...3591Medium.jpg From right to Left Cell Phone Holder OC Uncle Mikes Triple retention holster Handcuff Pouch Latex Glove Pouch Flashlight Pouch ASP Radio Mag Pouch |
VirtualDoom, if you promise it's not a BlackBerry or Treo you're still ok in my book.
|
I lucked out then, it's a Motorola

Did anybody see the article in the first issue of "American Cop" talking about excessive duty belt crap? They put a belt together with EVERYTHING on it...including a phone and blackberry and maybe some other stuff.
I saw it while I was in the academy, so I don't have a copy to scan. |
Everything i have on my belt i use several times a week. I have it arranged so that it doesnīt bother me in the least.
Itīs like wearing a vest. Itīs heavy, cumbersome and warm. But you have it just for that one day in your life your life depends on it. |
Being a small guy myself, I've got very limited room on my duty belt and it shows. Most of my coworkers often wonder why I've got two bags. Most of it simply has no room on my belt
|
Pardon my ignorance but do LEO have to buy all of their own gear?
Are you supplied with the minimum requirement and then if you want to upgrade than it is up to you? DaBigBR's Kimber rig is just SWEET! That is very nice. |

Some buy some stuff. Some buy all stuff. Depends on the department. |

Left to right: GG Leather belt GG Double mag pouch GG OC Pouch (Freeze +P) ASP Motorola Radio/Holder Surefire & holster GG Cuff Case (Peerless Hinged) Glove Pouch GG Cuff Case (Peerless Chain) Safariland Triple Retention (H&K USP .45ACP) All issued with the exception of the hinged peerless cuffs and the surefire. Looks cramped, but it all fits together fine when it goes on. |
I love the Kimber. There are a lot of people that don't like the series II firing pin safety, but that's fine...more guns for me.
I'll grab some pics of the kimber when my camera's batteries are recharged. As far as buying stuff goes...I was issued some and bought some when I started. All the stuff I was issued was sub-par crap, so I replaced it all. Now the only thing that isn't mine is the radio (and the holder on my leather belt, but the one on the nylon is mine) |
