Hej Hej 08-31-2013 08:16

Found these cleaning out the closet

My mom will soon be moving out of her house
of 54 years. I was helping her clean out
the bedroom closet and found 2 loaded
handguns!!! My dad has been gone for
16 years and these were his....a 22lr and
380 ACP. Wow......

Pretty cool. Pics?

That's awesome! We need more pics. What's going to happen to them now?

Astra and Llama ?

:headscratch:

.

Hej Hej 08-31-2013 10:39

Well, my first step was to mail pictures to my brother and let him know these exist...
I'm not sure after that what I want to do. The LGS will break them down and clean them up (badly needed) for $30.00 each....seems reasonable!
My brother is lending me the 22lr Colt Woodsman that was also my dads. That probably needs to be returned to him...

Very interesting find. I am sure they have some strong sentimental value.

Sinister Paige 08-31-2013 12:00

All I ever find is dust bunnies and cobwebs.:crying:

Nice find, Hej Hej.

Yes....and no. I never did much with shooting handguns with my dad. Maybe once at a local range....
I have only recently become interested in handguns and shooting. When the government started telling me what I could and couldn't due with regard to my 2nd ammendment rights.....I started getting interested in handguns and Glocks specifically!
I am fourth on a wait list for a Blue Label G19 through the GSSF....
It seemed the more scarce guns and ammo was....the more interested I got!!!! Am I crazy????

OK.....here is another find at moms. It's a reproduction of a 36 Caliber Navy Cap and Ball Revolver. Never been fired and in the original box....wow.

Nice find, Hej Hej.

I never find the bunnies! All I find is the dust, cobwebs and spiders. :whistling:

rockymtnhorror 08-31-2013 16:53

Unfortunately, my folks' house burned down before I could do that. The only shootin' iron I knew was there probably survived in a storeroom, but the place was looted only hours after the fire was out and before I could get there five hours later. Bye-bye Ruger MK II. . .

rednoved 08-31-2013 16:57

deadmonkey90 09-02-2013 00:43

i found an old pirate looking black powder pistol in my grandpas house. thought it was just a silly prop gun till i had it looked at. it appraised for 14000 and i got 11000 for it at an auction.
