I think that was Dragoon using GPS for the first time.

Patchman 07-09-2013 18:49

Not me. All I get to drive is a Ford Focus.

How is that car's roof lights still on? Wouldn't it have shorted out with the hood submurged like that?

There was a slight misunderstanding when Andy told Barney he was being assigned to River Patrol.

indigent 07-09-2013 22:16

We run our cars with two batteries. One runs the computer the other runs lights, radio, in car camera, and everything else a normal car does. The second battery is in the trunk. I could see them running lights off the second battery in the back and it is still above the waterline in this pic.

lawman800 07-10-2013 08:27

Anyone seen my rain gear?

You'd be surprised.

I saw a film of testing they did locally, ran a car off the pier into the water to see if you could escape with power windows. Damn funny watching the car sink with the windshield wipers working as it settled on the bottom. The wipers did seen to lose their effectiveness under water, they did not appear to be keeping the windshield very dry, but they were operating.

Bottom line, power windows worked, wipers worked. Engine did stall, however.. :) that was in fresh water though, salt water would be more conductive than fresh water I believe, might not with in the ocean.

I think yesterday was the first day without rain in about 2 weeks here.

ChuteTheMall 07-10-2013 10:28

After 44 years you'd think that Chappaquiddick bridge should have been improved.
