Got a scare at the gas station/c-store last night

Female owner was working, she was lured out of the store by a phoney U.S. Marshall whom said he had a warrant for her. and tried to extort money from her, the police found the store unlocked an empty. phoney Marshall made contact with family and instead got the Police.
when he realized they were on him he released her, she was missing for about an hour.
she is afraid and refused to talk to the police, don't know a lot of details
but I was called by the Police and told to come to the store ASAP for the hour she was missing.
She is still refusing to go into details and Tell's the police very little...
The Police were in contact with the Marshall service, as of now who knows....

You're a hero!

Dalton Wayne 05-23-2013 12:25

For What :dunno:All I did was secure the station and stand around answer questions, while the Police talked to the kidnaper.

DAng. Hope she was not assulted. Its not uncommon for women to deny/hide/just want it to "go away". Hopefully she is getting some support, people with her who "enpower" her. Normally don't care for such terms but it does apply here. Give her as much control as possible. (realizing there are other concerns)
If store has panic button I hope they train all employees to use them in any case. If its a legit Officer they should have no issue dealing with city Police.
@ 20 yrs ago I put on gas in small town station. Went inside and NOBODY. I checked office (unlocked) bathrooms, storage room, even cooler. (while loudly calling for anyone)
The till had a key in it. (so I assume I could have rang up sale) Instead I grab pen/paper/ Write "X gallons at $$ total X$$" and put cash for that amont under mat on till.
Pre cell phone days.

Maybe, but she may also fear that if she does talk to the cops she will be killed.

Yep, that might have something to do with it. There is no tellin' who those guys were. They might make the Sopranos look like the Boy Scouts.
