WSB-TV reports 10-15 year old shoots baby

Brunswick, GA a boy between 10 and 15 tries to rob a mother at gunpoint. Shoots the 18 month old baby in the head because mother had no cash. Mother shot in leg.

With the world going in the crapper like this I guess it is time to make a personal decision on whether or not you could shoot a kid to defend your own kid.

With extreme prejudice.

skorper 03-22-2013 07:55

You certainly could. Two boys from the report I saw.

And the resulting media firestorm revolving around how you shot and killed two young "children" who were just playing around be damned.

Dennis in MA 03-22-2013 08:22

Once you throw down, you cease to become a "kid."

Just to add some rumor, all I can think of is the one-eyed karate kid in Smokin Aces. I'd have shot him before I left Gramma's house in that film.

Here is a link. Part of me is skeptical because the mom says they pushed her away from her baby. Hard to imagine a grown up being over powered by a couple of small children while trying to protect your child. Especially since it was before she was shot.

My first thought was "yeah, right" too when I heard it on the local news this morning. No punk kid is getting between me and my kid.

There will most likely be much more to this story. We may have to wait for information about the baby's daddy.

skorper 03-22-2013 08:50

She was also shot in the leg, while bending over the stroller trying to protect her baby. Child was killed.

15?

About?

ish?

Not much there.

From the story there was definitely enough time to decide what action to take if she was armed.

Kids preying on the weak.

The rules are, from TV, the person with the gun get what they want....................then there is reality. This kid will get a dose soon.

With the world going in the crapper like this I guess it is time to make a personal decision on whether or not you could shoot a kid to defend your own kid.

That decision was made as part of a larger decision I made the moment he was born:

I will do whatever I have to, to whoever I have to, to protect my wife and child. I will not hesitate. I may feel really bad about it afterwards but I will do it.

That said, were I the 15-year-old's father in this case though, he would be begging me to call the police after I got done with him. I'll bet that kid's father is nowhere to be found though.

Practical point though - if the gun isn't found on the juvenile you have to shoot though, you will have problems down the road. Whatever that means to you is what that means.

Read the article on Foxnews.com - looks like GBI, GNR and other agencies are pulling out all the stops to find these two dilinquents.

Could be more but some teenagers are pretty big, and if the woman was petite then it could happen.

Bulldog160 03-22-2013 10:08

13-15 yr olds can easily be the size of a grown man

Anywho, I hate to be skeptical about it. Thanks, Susan Smith! It's still pretty early on, I'm sure more info will come forward.

Buzzards need to eat, so do the worms.

Tedge 03-22-2013 22:01

They were caught, a 17 year old and a 15 year old

hpracing007 03-22-2013 22:13

Get 2 ropes.

certifiedfunds 03-22-2013 23:18

splash a little gasoline on em and strike a match

G29Reload 03-22-2013 23:49

15 and 17yr old. 17 to be charged as an adult.

Shoots an infant point blank in the forehead because mom didnt have money.

As in, executed a baby in cold blood.

Executed a baby.

They cant make a punishment bad enough for this excrement. The judge should shoot them...from the bench. Right in the courtroom.

Anybody read Grisham's A Time To Kill? If that happened here I wouldn't lose sleep.

gwalchmai 03-23-2013 05:02

When I first read this and noticed no descriptions of the yutes I made a bet that they looked like Obama's kids. Big surprise.

I say give 'em a trial and then hang 'em within a month.

I guess they proved all of us wrong who thought they'd turn out to be white kids from a nice suburb. (Actually, I don't think Brunswick has an "urb" or "suburb" so we can't blame inner-city culture).

I've only read the reports, you mean De'MArquise isn't a recent European immigrant?

I'm getting tired of these savages. I try to be a nice guy but they just keep giving me reasons not to be.

Peace Warrior 03-23-2013 06:04

Reports advise they shot the baby because babies cost money and the reason she didn't have money was the baby cost too much money.

For the he-men on the thread, as I understand it, they shot at her head first, but missed during "a struggle" and only hit her ear, they shot her in the leg as she was trying to kick them, then shot her again to stop her protesting/fighting. Only then did they go after the baby. So she was shot "2.5 times" and down on the ground before these two cowards shot the baby. So don't blame the mom you *ssholes!!! :steamed:

I'm curious, I know that prisons can be a bad place for pedophiles, but will it be the same for baby murderers?

happyguy 03-23-2013 06:15

Sure, blame the victims.

In all honesty though, she trusted the government to protect her and her child and the inevitable happened.

This is a good example of why you should raise your daughters to be self-reliant and realistic.

Regards,
Comrade Happyguy :)

Wait until the investigation is over before making judgement. Mothers have been known to do horrible things and make up crazy stories.
