Glock 19 Gen3 RTF2 Gilled worth $60 extra?

Ok, I had a Glock 17, loved it but wanted a 19 instead so I sold it to fund a 19. Price aside, would it be worth $60 more than I got for my used 17 to pick up a brand new Gen 3 RTF2 with gills? I'm really jonesing for one. Is that a rare bird (or will it be one day)? Anyone know production numbers on those? This will be my primary range gun so I don't expect it to be kept pristine.

I have both the G22 and G23 with the Gills. I would pay the extra $60 for the G19 with gills. Another way to look at it is that all G19's are hard to find right now. So one with Gills is a very good find right now.

True JD, I found this one while looking for any 19. I'm going to do it unless someone here tells me they are seriously flawed (which I doubt). Can't wait to get it.

Are you sure this is brand new?

You know they stopped making these in 2009. That means it sat unfired for 3 years?

That's what he says, its a small dealer. Is there a quick way to check? Every Glock I've owned has been used since I don't usually like to pay new prices. I guess I could tell from looking inside the slide, etc.. ???

Its brand new. He said he'd had it a while. Its better than I'd imagined.https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-G...7/P1070834.JPG

Buy that!

uncledoodoo 02-21-2013 20:27

Oh, I did, that's my camera and picture! Now the hard part is going to be to actually shoot it instead of keeping it virgin. decisions, decisions. .... Ah, who am I kidding, I bought it to shoot.

Sweet! You got lucky.

uncledoodoo 02-22-2013 10:58

I did get lucky. I looked up the serial this morning and its from 2009 for sure. No idea how it set so long.

INEEDMILK 02-23-2013 06:33

that is a hell of a score

i spent over 6 months looking for mine

Arc Angel 02-23-2013 06:43

It looks very new! I'd pay the difference. (In fact I did!)

It's got a Hogue, 'Handall' grip sleeve on it and is sitting, right here, on my desk as I type.

Lucky dog!

That is the best Glock ever made in my opinion. :wavey: Great buy.

The fact that you sold a used glock and got a brand new one for only $60 more is a deal right there. The fact that it's a RTF2 with gills is a super sweet bonus.

That is an AWESOME gun..!! I would pay over $600.00 for one IF I can find one..I remember when the gills first came out...People hated them...Now they are hard as hell to find and VERY PRICEY..!!! Nice find!! How much did you give for this total?

uncledoodoo 09-21-2013 09:15

Thanks! I paid $620, I'll let you know if I want to sell it. I've been thinking about it because I seldom shoot it.

Dave514 09-21-2013 10:31

Answers what I was about to ask. If the $60 is taking you from $490 to $550 then definitely yes. If it's taking you from $560 to $620 then you better really want it since $560 is steep for any Glock in the first place
