H & K Calendar Misprint
 

Need rumor confirmation...

I heard that this year's H&K calendar was pulled from production at the last minute because of an error on the cover. (Apparently the Scopes were mounted backwards, or a similar insane error)

A new version was then rushed out the door.

Folklore or Real?

I would think that a calendar for 2013 would have been printed last year.

They published an ad that had a magazine with rounds inserted backwards so wouldn't surprise me

Advertising companies hired to do gun work don't necessarily know anything about guns. It was HK's fault for not proofing the ad company's work. One was stupid, the other negligent.

I got my calendar later than I usually do.

The photographer is also a well known photographer of things military. As a shooter and also a 'shooter,' I would have thought he should catch something like that.

Sounds to me like some sort of variation of the old backwards bullet in mag deal. It's too similar.

I remember a recent cover of SWAT had a belt fed AR upper .......with the ammo belt in upside down. Being that I don't know a lot about belt fed guns didn't even notice it till I read a letter to the editor about it in a issue a couple mounts later. So in the rush to get things in on a dead line they used a positional shot that shouldn't have been used.
