That article makes sense to me. They were only having the enlargement on one side where their rifles kept hitting their chest during drills. I was once hit on my left nipple and it caused swelling and a lump that took over a year to go away.

I was going to assume steroids until I read the article, now I'm just wondering how many slaps I can get in until she wakes up..:supergrin::devildance:

Even as to the Germans, the articles isn't about anything caused by being overweight. I have spent years serving in contact with German soldiers, in Germany and Afghanistan, and being overweight is not a common problem for them, at all.

You are basing this libel on exactly what? Last year 43 percent of female and 18 percent of male applicants to the U.S. Army were too fat to meet screening standards. If you gain weight after entry, the Army uses AR 600-9 to maintain weight standards for appearance and readiness. As an example, if you are a 5 foot 10 inch, 21-27 year old male the maximum you can weigh is 185 lbs - hardly fat by anyone's standard.
