Magpul fore end for Rem 870
I have a Remington 870 Tactical - the one with the pistol grip. I'd like to change out the stock/pistol grip for the Magpul one.
I'm debating whether I should also get the Magpul Fore end - I've seen numerous reviews that the Magpul fore end is rather slick. Should I just stick with the stock Remington fore end? I'd appreciate everyone's opinions. - Troy |
If you are going to replace the forearm do it with a Surefire light forearm. I have one, and while its costly, its no doubt the best shotgun accessory out there.
Other than I like my shotguns plain and simple. |
I have a Hogue rubber forearm on my Remington 870, (with a Knoxx/Blackhawk adjustable pistol-grip stock), and I have to say that the Hogue Forearm is excellent!

I have the Magpul stock and fore-end on my 870. I have not found the fore-end to be slick at all and I live where summer temps climb well into the triple digits. I really like the stops on the front and rear of the fore-end. I had a surefire fore-end and while very well built it constantly interfered with my sling.

Just installed the Magpul forend on my 870. Do not think it is slick at all. I really like it... Will be buying the Magpul stock as well....

It sounds like those Glock Talk members that have the Magpul forend like it. I'll add it to my wish list. Thanks.

I'm a fan as well. When I shot the video below it was about 115 degrees with damn near 100% humidity (love the southeast in August :wow: ). I don't find them to be slick and the built in handstop helps you really rack it with authority.
