Grabbrass 01-22-2013 23:30

Knob Creek when I'm splurgin', Evan Williams when I'm not (or if there's a mixer involved).

Gregg702 01-22-2013 23:36

Grand Marnier, and if I am feeling fancy, 150 year anniversary Grand Marnier.

lumbermill 01-22-2013 23:42

Just got a bottle of Bookers. One of the best Bourbons I have ever tasted. Kind of vanilla and leather. As for beer it's whatever is being given away at the brewery I work at. This month it's Winter Lager and Boston Lager.

I assume you work for Sam Adams.

MrGlock21 01-23-2013 00:00

Lots of good stuff out there for 40 + bucks. I'm not picky.

In the economic range nothing beats Ezra Brooks or Sobieski for my taste. I guess these two are "my" spirits on the lower shelves readily available.

I do love Slivovitz from Croatia and Serbia. Here is an interesting link about fermentation and destillation...

@audigreg
Yes I do work for Sam Adams. Please don't hold that against me!

I love jack daniels. I like it straight or with coke. I dig the oak flavor of it. I like trees, what can I say:)

Other than that I dig good beer. No swill like coors or anything. I love a cold Yeungling on a hot day. Lager is my staple beer.

klt1986 01-23-2013 02:25

Wild Turkey 101 and Stolichnaya Vodka are the ones I buy the most.

stevelyn 01-23-2013 02:59

Moonshine.

No.........Really. Made in Frank 45-70's neighborhood.

Moonshine...yes actual moonshine from the Appalachian regions of North Carolina. This stuff is cut for sipping. Great on the rocks or mixed with your favorite fruit juice..

When I'm among friends kettle one, ciroc, don Julio, or makers mark. Just depending on what everyone else is drinking.

Hey, I think that's awesome! When can we expect to see regular old cases of Boston Lager back at Sam's Club? Back in the early fall at my local Sam's the plain cases of Boston Lager (28 bottles) were replaced by cases of Octoberfest (24 bottles). Great, I thought, as I do enjoy S.A. Octoberfest. Then, in November the "Winter Classics" assortment cases showed up. Okay, I thought, but can we get some regular beer back in here too? I don't really need anything with chocolate flavor in it. So I waited. And last week, finally, the Winter Classics were replaced by ... "Spring Thaw" assortment cases.

I just want beer. 28 bottles of it at a time. Yes, I can buy it elsewhere, but at a higher price. And if I gotta do that, I buy Beck's or St. Pauli.

tadbart 01-23-2013 05:32

Maker's Mark bourbon
Jack Daniels whiskey
the occasional shot of Patron Silver
Captain and Coke if I want something sweet
cold Coors Light and hot wings

Lowjiber 01-23-2013 05:39

Gentleman Jack... lightly poured over one rock.

RoyHinkley 01-23-2013 06:38

Sierra Nevada Torpedo, Sweetwater 420 and IPA, and every now and then I throw in a good porter or stout like Left Hand.

Bluecoat martini with about two drops vermouth(I just discovered this one, beats Hendrick's)
Wild Turkey 101 on rocks
I am about halfway through a bottle of Laphroaig 10yr and am really starting to like it, best with just a tiny bit of water.

On the boat or at the beach in the summer it's just Bud Light or Mount Gay rum and tonic. Occasionally a Crown and Sprite for old times sake.

Hold it against you? More like you're my new favorite poster on GT!!!! I love SA, and definitely miss the NE!!

ETA: OOPS!! To the original question: Johnny Walker, the closer to blue label, the better. The red and black labels just don't compare...

Knighj1 01-23-2013 06:47

Daniels black or gentleman jack
