fondled the only one at gun show today in nc , almost bought it , price was $550 . had the rough black/grey grips . and i mean they were rough , gun was heavy . i wanted a 10 mm for awhile but i had to walk away . the weight for me was huge .

i got to thinking bout ammo prices and my wife walked me out lol :rofl::rofl:

If you don't handload or have plenty money to purcahse good 10mm ammo, then 10mm is probably not for you, if you intend to shoot alot.:dunno:

Ballistically the 10mm when loaded to the higher performance levels can be very effective.:wow:

The RIA 10mm is 1911 copy with some tweeks...if you find it on the heavy side you might want to consider the Glock 29...

However, just be WARNED! 10mm is ADDICTIVE...Nobody can have just one!:supergrin:

Underwood ammo isn't too terribly priced if you don't reload...~50 something cents per round shipped...

Jeepers! That is still pretty steep. My reloads cost 16 cents per round. It would be much less than that if I cast bullets.

In my opinion, if you are a shooter then 10mm = you are a reloader. Otherwise, you'll get yourself a pretty nice safe queen.

The break-even on a loading setup can be about 1000 rounds for 10mm. Going with something like the RCBS Master Reloading kit (these go on sale often), calipers, and dies/shellholder and off you go. A progressive setup will cost more, but the single stager can get you off and running. Lots of guys like the "in-between" Lee Classic Turret too.

I handled one a few weeks ago. It seemed like a nice value.

One is on my list, if I don't find the rifle I'm looking for.

I've carried a 1911 so long, and I have so many holsters that it would be just silly not to have one
