Cold Spring MN Officer down

RIP :crying:

EAJuggalo 11-30-2012 08:41

:fallenofficer:The local morning news in Minneapolis had coverage of the ambulance with escort from numerous jurisdictions making it's way into St. Paul. Almost every bridge the procession went under had a squad car on it with an officer standing at attention.

:fallenofficer: Sad, sad news. I went through SKILLS with an officer who lives in Cold Spring. This is hitting waaay too close to home. Heck, its already close to home when any LEO makes the ultimate sacrafice. Prayers sent...... rest in peace.

Officer Tom Decker, a six-year veteran and father of four, was killed while trying to help a man believed to be suicidal. He had gone to check on a manís welfare when he was fatally shot after getting out of his squad car...

Investigators said that the man who was reported to be suicidal was taken into custody.
Another LEO willingly stepped into the breach even when the shooter's own family couldn't or wouldn't. Without LEOs like Officer Decker, there would be only anarchy.

RIP Decker. Condolences to your family.
